What this site is

Charlotte Foundation Guys explains foundation repair, sagging floors, crawl space supports, crawl space moisture, costs, insurance and soil in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, and puts homeowners in touch with a local contractor who can inspect the house. Work is done by independent local contractors. Pricing and availability are set by the contractor serving your area.

We're not contractors or engineers. Nothing on this site is an inspection of your house, and no page can tell you what your foundation needs. A contractor's inspection, or an evaluation by a licensed professional engineer you hire, can.

Where the figures come from

Every number on this site links to the document it came from: soil surveys from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, housing data from the Census Bureau, permit rules from each city's own pages, insurance rules from the state, and repair costs from published cost guides. Each page lists its sources at the bottom. Where a figure couldn't be found, the page says so instead of guessing.

How requests work

When you call or send a request, it goes to the contractor serving your area, who confirms a time to inspect. How it works covers the steps and the questions worth asking before you sign anything.
